Good afternoon Coaches/Parents/Players,

There seems to be some discussion by a number of teams about team sizes and the number of substitutes allowed.

I recently informed one manager of the team sizes as set by Capital Football. I must apologise and admit that I was wrong.

The amount of subs I quoted was actually less than we are allowed to allocate so please take the following information as direct from CF with whom I today consulted:

U8-U9 - 7 players, 4 subs. That makes 11 players per team

U10 - U11 - 9 players, 5 subs. That makes 14 players per team.


Coaches - if you are allocated another player it is because you do not have a full team. I cannot change the rules because people do not want 3 or 5 subs. Every child deserves a team to play in.

If anyone wishes to discuss this further you will need to take it up with CF direct.
